This is a scene I painted from a trip to Beaver's Bend in Oklahoma. I especially loved the peacefulness of this place, and how refreshing it was as I walked along this stream. The sound of the cool water rushing over the rocks was so soothing to my soul. It was beautiful to see the sunlight coming through the trees here and there. It was a wonderful place to be, and I was thankful for the beauty my great God had created for our enjoyment. It was such a joy to paint this scene.
I was reminded of that river that I will one day see, and this verse came to mind..."There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High." Psalm 46:4
